OVERVIEW
The objective of this project was to create a website and catalogue for the graduates of the Art Department at Reading University. It involved collaborative work within a group of three other designers to deliver the degree show for final year students. The theme chosen for the project was 'Pièce De Distance,' a play on the French expression, reflecting the emotions and experiences during the COVID-19 lockdown.The Pièce De Distance website can be accessed here.
Over the course of several months, the comprehensive task of developing the branding, website, and accompanying catalogue for this project was undertaken. The catalogue specifically focused on creating individual pages for each art student, providing a platform to showcase their artwork alongside concise descriptions that highlight the significance and meaning behind each piece.
BRANDING
During the collaborative process, each designer in the group generated multiple logo variations, incorporating continuous feedback received from the clients. For Pièce De Distance, the overarching vision was to create a 3D typographic logo that would serve as the central element of the branding, appearing consistently across various platforms such as the website, catalogue, and social media channels.
